6 Lessons I’ve learned while drinking relationship-enhancing liquor with my 10 years-unmet friends
I’ll admit, meeting old friends is really HARD, especially when everyone has gone their own way.
But luckily, I got to go back home and see them in person.
We’ve all grown up and been through a lot.
The stories we hadn’t talked about in 10 years have gotten better, just like wine does as it ages.
Talking about these memories made me realize so much.
Now, I want to share what I learned from catching up with these friends.”
1.Maximize your effort, minimize your regrets.
Natty, one of my very good friends who is also a doctor, told me about how he handles the sad moments when his patients don’t make it.
He put it simply: if you maximize your effort, you will minimize your regrets later. He also shared what maximizing his effort means:
- Always sharpen your knowledge because you never know what’s going to happen.
- Prepare both body and mind before your cases.
- Learn from what has happened before to improve and avoid making the same mistakes.
