I’ll admit, meeting old friends is really HARD, especially when everyone has gone their own way.

But luckily, I got to go back home and see them in person.

We’ve all grown up and been through a lot.

The stories we hadn’t talked about in 10 years have gotten better, just like wine does as it ages.

Talking about these memories made me realize so much.

Now, I want to share what I learned from catching up with these friends.”

1.Maximize your effort, minimize your regrets.

Natty, one of my very good friends who is also a doctor, told me about how he handles the sad moments when his patients don’t make it.

He put it simply: if you maximize your effort, you will minimize your regrets later. He also shared what maximizing his effort means:

  • Always sharpen your knowledge because you never know what’s going to happen.
  • Prepare both body and mind before your cases.
  • Learn from what has happened before to improve and avoid making the same mistakes.
