Great question.

Hemingway is one of my favorites too.

So, I mean, great writers.

Let's talk about selling ideas.

I do think it’s important to convey a key message, but saying it directly can make it less powerful.

Take Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea." The idea of success being about the journey is something anyone could say. But describing Santiago coming home with just the marlin’s skeleton makes it much more powerful.

I think Hemingway’s style is a bit hard to describe directly, but if we look at someone like J.K. Rowling, we can see she’s selling the idea of the Wizarding World. It’s similar to that.

For successful writers, I believe it’s very subjective. But I think we are a mix of the five people we admire. So, just pick the writers whose work you enjoy.
