Hi, long time no see.

First, I'm glad you like some of my work, and second, I'm glad you dislike some of it too.

And yes, it's impossible to know exactly what readers want every time.

Okay, the key point I want to make is this: If you write for yourself and your only reader is you, that's fine. You can write anything.

But if you're writing for a job, doing it the way my friend's company does will slowly burn you out.

Because I've seen many writers try to write something as if they're teaching calculus to 3-year-olds and then wonder why no one is interested in their work.

So, the first question is: Who is your reader?

And for you, I think you're a talented writer, and on Medium, there are some publications that people enjoy reading about feelings. I recommend "Know Thyself, Heal Thyself" because I enjoy reading personal stories from this publication.
