How I Evaluate the Results of My Articles (Helping Me Improve My Writing)

Once you hit publish, your results can be broken down into 4 groups:

  • The worst: No views, no reads.
  • The bad: Views but no reads.
  • The good: Views and average reads.
  • The best: A big win.

Now, let’s talk about how to deal with the worst, the bad, and the good.

1.) The Worst: No Views, No Reads

Here are the big 4 reasons why:

  • You’re publishing to the wrong audience.
  • Your headline is weak.
  • Readers can’t relate to your article.
  • The algorithm.

How I fixed it:

  • Experiment with new tags or publications (Sorry, I don’t have an exact solution for this, as algorithms change. Keep experimenting.)
  • Stop writing vague or boring headlines. Instead, use a clickbait-style headline.
