I think the problem with FOM isn't the product itself, but rather how it communicates its features.
For example, offering 4x more earnings to writers you read is complex to understand compared to simply stating that if you buy FOM, you will earn 4x more if someone reads your work.
Normally, people buy products or services to make themselves feel better. For instance, when you donate to a YouTuber, your name might get chanted during their live streams. That makes sense because it's a win-win game.
I believe food bank bags at Walmart clearly state why we need to donate to the food bank, which is better than explaining why we need to upgrade to FOM.
