Finding love is hard in 2025.
But
Being alone is harder.
Being alone doesn’t just crush your mentality.
It’s also destroying you financially.
Here’s why:
Living alone is like paying a “lonely tax.”
A friend of mine is single.
Engineer. 32. Six feet tall.
But one day he said,
“Bro, living alone is f*cking hard in this economy.”
I asked him why.
Then he broke down his living costs:
- $2,000 rent
- $800 car
- $200 utilities
All by himself.
And that doesn’t even include
- groceries
- dining out
- leisure
What’s worse?
He pays more in taxes.
And there’s no second income contributing to his retirement savings.
