“When they’ve punished you enough, they’ll serve you salmon and potato salad, make speeches, give you a medal, and pat you on the back, telling you all is forgiven. Just remember, it won’t be for you — it’ll be for them.” — Albert Einstein, Oppenheimer (film adaptation)

I just watched Oppenheimer.

Beautiful scenes, great dialogue, and an amazing score.

For me, quantum physics and atomic bombs are just fancy themes.

This movie reminds me of human nature that most of us ignore.

Most people are self-centric, but that’s your opportunity.

Oppenheimer was suspected of being a Soviet spy.

He was implicated by his colleagues.

Even though he helped the United States win the war, it couldn’t save him.

I won’t spoil who did that.

The conflict doesn’t happen during wartime when everyone has the same goal: to create the bomb before the Nazis do.
