My wife asked me what I’d do after she died. She wasn’t ready for my answer.

Hey, please don’t tell anyone. Let’s keep this between us.

What would you do after I die?” my wife asked.

“New wife?”

“No, I wouldn’t do that.”

“You’re so sweet… It’s okay if you want to start over after I’m gone.”

“But why?” she asked.

“Why wouldn’t you even consider finding someone new?”

So I told her. And now I’m telling you.

Hey, please don’t tell anyone.

Let’s keep this between us.

I don’t know how to approach a woman.

I don’t know what’s considered romantic.

I don’t know how to flirt.

I don’t know the rules.

So I told her I wouldn’t start a new relationship.

Because honestly, I don’t know how.

So… how did we even end up together?

I was just being myself.

Just loving myself.

Just accepting myself.

That’s all I had to offer.
