Good artists choose. Great artists blend.

I don’t write 100% for readers.
I don’t write 100% for myself.
I write 80% for readers and 20% for myself.

I don’t write 100% niche topics.
I don’t write 100% broad topics.
I write 60% broad and 40% niche.

I don’t write 100% How-to guides.
I don’t write 100% personal stories.
I write 80% How-to and 20% personal stories.

Picture writing as cooking:

100% salt? Uneatable.
100% sugar? Uneatable.
100% spice? Uneatable.

Great flavors come when you blend, not when you choose.
